Battlefield 6’s Main Battle Royale Competitor Isn’t What You Think It Is
Battlefield 6's battle royale mode is launching in a highly competitive market, but its biggest competitor is not the game most would think of.
Although some fans initially had concerns about the game, Battlefield 6is shaping up to be just as good as many had hoped it would be. Rather than trying to reinvent the series' formula, like Battlefield 2042 did, the game is taking a more back-to-basics approach with its design philosophy this time. Battlefield 6has basically all the core staples of a traditional Battlefield game. It has a full-length single-player campaign, a suite of classic multiplayer modes, and a realistic destruction gameplay system, as well as multiple character classes. The game is even going to feature some major new gameplay mechanics, such as a dynamic movement system that lets players lean around corners, brace for impact against cover, and drag fallen players to safety before reviving them.
