As a boudoir photographer, I am fortunate to not only capture the physical beauty of my clients but also to delve into the depths of their souls. It’s a privilege that allows me to witness their journeys unfold before my lens. Time and time again, I’m humbled by the resilience and strength they exhibit.
These stories are not merely about posing in front of a camera; they are narratives of womanhood. They recount the trials endured, the obstacles surmounted, and the profound growth experienced along the way.
As women, we possess an innate ability to draw wisdom from one another’s tales. Within these narratives lie wellsprings of inspiration, hope, and empowerment. It’s why I am committed to amplifying the voices of those who have triumphed over adversity, for their stories serve as beacons of light in the darkness.
In the months ahead, I’ll be sharing some of the most stirring accounts from my clients. Some women have confronted a myriad of challenges, from battling body image issues and wrestling with self-doubt to navigating through abusive relationships and confronting trauma head-on. Yet, despite the odds stacked against them, they’ve emerged as warriors of self-love and body acceptance. While others have stories of love and light and inspire us in so many ways.
My aspiration is that these narratives will ignite a spark within others, prompting them to embrace their inherent beauty and acknowledge their own existence. I firmly believe that every woman is deserving of confidence and empowerment, and it is my hope that through these stories, we can inspire one another to rise to our fullest potential.
Love notes from a recent client…
Was there anything holding you back from booking a boudoir session?
I’m a naturally shy and modest person. I wasn’t sure I could follow through with the session.
What made you decide to book a boudoir session?
Knowing my husband would absolutely love it outweighed my fear.
What made your decision to book Couture Boudoir specifically?
I looked at the portfolios of at least 10 photographers. Couture Boudoir was an easy choice. I loved the style and vibe of the sessions.
What were you most nervous about before your boudoir session?
I’m not sure I can put my finger on it. I didn’t think I could pull off a sexy shoot. Honestly, I barely slept the night before and thought about just losing the money and not doing the shoot. So happy I didn’t wimp out.
Describe how you felt during your session.
I was very nervous when I arrived. I think talking with Critsey during hair and makeup started to put me at ease. After getting started I got more comfortable and lost some of my inhibitions.
How did you feel about yourself after seeing your boudoir photos?
The photos definitely exceeded my expectations. I did feel beautiful and sexy when I saw them. They were so well done, sexy but classy.
Describe your overall experience with Couture Boudoir…
It was a wonderful experience! Both Critsey and the make-up artist were so professional and put me at ease. I have absolutely no regrets or areas to be improved.
What would you tell other women hesitant to book a boudoir session?
Do it! Critsey will make you look and feel beautiful!
Is there anything you wish you would have known before your photoshoot?
There was really nothing to be nervous about.
Anything else you would like to add?
Just another note of thanks. You have been a consummate professional throughout the whole process.
