Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Devs Think There's Still A Prejudice Against Turn-Based JRPGs
There are plenty of cool turn-based JRPGs out there, but they've got a long way to go to become mainstream again.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the best games to release this year, without question, and it was immediately heralded as the triumphant return of turn-based RPGs. We'll ignore the fact that plenty of excellent turn-based JRPGs have been released recently (Persona 5, Octopath Traveler 2, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, Metaphor: ReFantazio, etc.), but it's true that we don't see many as popular as Clair Obscur.
