EA Has Officially Been Acquired By A Consortium For $55 Billion
Rumors that EA was about to go private and be bought out by a consortium have been confirmed to be true.
There were rumblings at the end of last week that EA might go private thanks to an acquisition worth more than $50 billion. EA has now confirmed those rumblings were indeed accurate, and that a consortium made up of three companies has acquired the studio for $55 billion, sharing 100 percent ownership of the video game publisher between them.
