Gearbox Should Have Ditched 'Fight For Your Life' Before Borderlands 4
The "Fight for your Life!" mechanic in Borderlands 4 gives you a shot at redemption but, too often, it's a long shot.

Playing a co-op shooter by yourself is always touch-and-go. As much as I love games like Borderlands 4 and modern classics like The Division 2 (yeah, I said it), they’re primarily designed to be played by a party, not an individual. Tackling these games single-player means playing at your own risk. And though Borderlands 4 is designed to allow for single-player fans to resurrect themselves, Gearbox’s newest looter shooter sticks with the mechanic the series has been using from the beginning. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? Unfortunately, “Fight for your Life!” is broken.
