There are 16 playable characters in Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles and seven guest party members.
Ramza Beoulve is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles, although players will be given the option to recruit fifteen additional party members throughout the course of their Ivalicean adventures. Ten of the playable characters are encountered as part of the main story, with the final five tied to some of the game's side stories.
