The servers for WWE 2K24 are scheduled to shut down on January 5, 2026. WWE 2K24 was released on March 8, 2024, and kept the franchise's momentum going strong. The WWE 2K series was seriously derailed by the disastrous WWE 2K20, but taking extra time to develop WWE 2K22 saw 2K and Visual Concepts come back stronger than ever. Ever since then, Visual Concepts has been building on the strong foundation laid by WWE 2K22 to release progressively better wrestling games.
