Lightning Will Hopefully Strike Twice for PS Plus in August 2025

PlayStation Plus could be set to get yet another critically-acclaimed new game in the weeks ahead. Earlier this year, former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida heaped praise on Blue Prince, describing it as a potential Game of the Year contender months before it came out. When Blue Prince launched, it turns out many agreed with Yoshida's assessment. Blue Prince earned widespread critical acclaim and remains one of the year's highest-rated new game releases. While Blue Prince is certainly worth the price of admission, PS5 gamers signed up for the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus or higher are free to check it out without paying anything beyond what they already do for their subscription.
