Mafia: The Old Country’s Free Ride Mode Is Depressing
Why would a linear game need open world activities?

Mafia: The Old Country was explicitly marketed as a smaller, linear game in line with earlier entries in the series, as opposed to an open-world game like Mafia 3. Instead of giving you a sprawling map to explore and do side content in, the game is more focused. You can still explore your immediate surroundings during missions and scope out the map more fully in its Free Roam mode, but there isn’t much to do within that world other than find collectibles.
