Metroid Prime 4 Isn't 'Out Now' After All, But Its Release Date Confusion May Be the Calm Before the Storm
A Metroid Prime 4 marketing snafu suggested it was 'out now,' and while that was an error, it suggests a few implications beyond that.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is nearing the end of a long and arduous journey, releasing on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2025. And it seems that journey is coming to an end sooner rather than later. Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced at E3 2017, 8 years ago, but its development was restarted in early 2019. This set the game back, but now an ad mistakenly reported the game was "out now."
