Adventure of Samsara, a metroidvania that released on the same day as Hollow Knight: Silksong, has been struggling to pull in players.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has, predictably, taken up all of the oxygen in the video game room. That's why most other releases slated to be here at the beginning of September, especially indie games, moved out of its way. Plucky metroidvania Adventure of Samsara decided to stick to its September 4 release date, and the publishers and developers behind that decision are likely kicking themselves now.
