The Pokemon Company has announced a new wave of Pokemon plush merchandise, specifically for fans of the franchise’s trading card game. The trading card game, originally licensed to Magic: The Gathering’s Wizards of the Coast, was a late 90s phenomenon, releasing eight expansion sets between 1998 and 2003. The Pokemontabletop game has since spawned Pokemon TCG Online and Pokemon TCG Pocket, as digital alternatives.
