I’ve always loved movies, but action has never been my genre of choice. I lean toward drama or romance: the kinds of films where emotions get pulled apart rather than people. Every now and then, I’d dip a toe into the genre with something like John Wick. And sure, I admired the stunts. The cool lighting. The sheer spectacle of it all. But I was missing connection. It was cool to watch Keanu Reeves shoot his way through a neon nightclub, but that’s about it.
