Oda is planning a huge power-up for a Straw Hat - and this time it isn't Luffy.
One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, which means that the story is very close to a conclusion now, given that Elbaf is especially significant in the Final Saga. Luffy's adventure has continued for years now, and on his quest to become the Pirate King, he's only one step away, with the only goal now being to find the last Road Poneglyph, sailing to the Final Island, Laugh Tale, and then claiming the treasure for himself.
