The One Piece manga has been going on for 28 years, but it might come to an end sooner than expected.
One Piece's Wano Country arc was the first time that truly made the fans feel that the series was edging closer to its end. Before that, Oda mentioned on multiple occasions that One Piece would end in a set number of years, but nothing truly ever materialized. However, things are different now. One Piece finally entered the Final Saga after the end of the Wano Country Arc, and while this Final Saga is certainly not a short one, it is bound to end the series sooner or later.
