Sonic Mania Lead Shares First Screenshots Of Scrapped Potential Sequel
We just got our first look at the Sonic Mania 2 we could have had.
It's been eight years since Sonic Mania first launched (man, time really is a never-ending march), and one of the biggest tragedies about the entire game is that a sequel was never made. That wasn't the Sonic Mania studio's decision though, as the idea for a sequel planned by the team was reportedly scrapped due to a mixture of creative differences and Sega wanting to move away from pixel art.
