Star Trek: Prodigy cannot catch a break.
Oh, Star Trek: Prodigy. How you've been so thoroughly mistreated. I was among the least interested in you when Paramount and Nickelodeon announced your existence. I didn't grow up with "kids' shows", and I almost let that stop me from checking you out despite my lifelong obsession with Star Trek. But you were good. For two seasons, you were good. Yet, hardly anybody watched your first half. And your second half would never have even aired had Netflix not paid pennies on the dollar to air it.
