Superman is off to a great start at the box office, and its opening weekend is set to overtake Man of Steel.
Superman is the first film in the rebooted DC cinematic universe, so director James Gunn has much to prove. However, it looks like the creative overhaul is already paying off, as Superman's first day in theatres has already made it a career high for Gunn.
