The Cardinal Sins of Fortnite's Record-Breaking Blitz Royale Mode

Blitz Royale is a major shift from typical Fortnite game modes as matches feature only 32 players and take place on a condensed map. This leads to rapid encounters and much more aggressive gameplay. Rounds last under five minutes, and chests are closer together, so long rotations, drawn-out looting, and passive playstyles are not really viable. If players spend three minutes looting every chest in Retail Row, they'll exit with full mats and purple gear, only to get jumped by someone who's already at Level 7 from early eliminations.
