To Enjoy Horror Movies, You'll Need To Suspend Your Disbelief A Bit

I’m not much of a horror movie lady, but I’ve always wanted to be. I took classes in college on horror from a literary standpoint, dabbled in creepy stories, and at FanExpo Canada this past weekend, I attended a panel by author N.R. Wolfman about the psychology of horror. Barbarian came up among a slew of other horror films I’d heard of before, and I really enjoyed listening to Wolfman break down more particular aspects of horror and what makes it effective for storytelling. My partner has been itching to start inching into spooky season, and with the movie leaving Netflix soon, we snuggled up to watch it together when I got back from the convention.
