US State Missouri Announces UK Online Safety Act-Style Age Verification Law
Amid the UK's Online Safety Act and plans for the EU to follow suit, over a dozen states in America have begun restricting adult websites.
In July, the UK rolled out strict new measures for the Online Safety Act, requiring adult websites to verify that users are over the age of 18 by scanning their IDs or faces through third-party software.
