I've been a Pokemon Trading Card Game collector my whole life, and I've been covering the plight of the TCG since the start of the year. It started with research into how prices had drastically risen in the three months to January 2025, continued through the innumerable botched Pokemon Center exclusive product drops, and more recently, discussed how 'crypto-bros' were driving up the prices for everybody. The hobby is in disarray.
