March Of Giants is a free-to-play MOBA that uses some very mild RTS mechanics to innovate on the genre.
March of Giants wasn’t on my radar at all, but Amazon Games Montreal recently held a closed beta test for the upcoming MOBA, and everything about it is a surefire surprise. You control the titular Giants and waves of tiny soldiers, while also building defensive structures like trenches, bunkers, and turrets, all while trying to defeat your opponents and destroy the opposing team’s Bastion. It’s a MOBA, but also an RTS. Sort of.
